An Important Story
This story choked me up. It's a perfect example of why very personal medical decisions should be made personally, not by legislators in Washington DC.
"Everyone said, of course it's the right thing to do -- even my Catholic father and my Republican father-in-law, neither of whom was ever "pro-choice." Because suddenly, for them, it wasn't about religious doctrine or political platforms. It was personal -- their son, their daughter, their grandchild. It was flesh and blood, as opposed to abstract ideology, and that changed everything."

Thank you. That is an excellent article and a heart-wrenching story. It is SO important to fight for control of our bodies and our choices and our children.
On a personal note, it made me do about a dozen internal somersaults over the concept of becoming pregnant someday. As if I didn't have enough angst. :)

Thanks for posting. I was actually talking to my mother last night about 'partial-birth abortions', as she had been investigating them and was horrified by them. She couldn't understand how anyone could be for them and declared that there had to be "another way". I thank you for passing on this article.
