Athena had a lovely birthday yesterday. She's in the middle of transitioning to the Dandi room at school, so that meant big signs in both rooms proclaiming "Happy Birthday Athena!" At 3 p.m., she had little cupcakes with her Dolphin-room class, which she took very seriously:
It's clearly a big responsibility waiting while everyone sings for you. Fear not, she really did enjoy her cupcake with sprinkles.
I picked up Athena from school and we headed to Aqui for dinner with 18 of her friends. There was Aqui chocolate cake and presents.
Unwrapping the "Elsa doll that doesn't sing"
Dancing with Christy
(which gives mommy a break)
Until the Hokey Pokey!
Whereupon I hereby declare birthday celebrations as good. She has celebrated her first three birthdays at Aqui and shares a birthday with the manager's daughter. She is known by the bartenders and has a usual order. It may not be the most normal thing for a 3 year old, but she's doing a-ok.
